Day 1 – Friday, October 9

Open Fishing & Welcome Evening

• 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM Open Fishing Enjoy a full day on the water! Anglers are free to fish their favorite stretches of the Arkansas River and surrounding waters.

• All Day Support & Say Thanks Stop by Royal Gorge Anglers for last-minute supplies, expert tips, and to personally thank them for their generous support of our high school tournament.

• 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM Dinner at Observer Ranch Join us for a riverside dinner to kick off the tournament weekend.

• 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Special Program at Observer Ranch Featuring guest speakers, conservation stories, and highlights from Canon City High School’s fly fishing program.

• 8:00 PM Campfire & S’mores (weather permitting) Classic campfire gathering with s’mores (or an alternate snack if a fire ban is in effect).

• Evening Return to Lodging Special lodging discounts available at Observer Ranch! A percentage of every room booked through the ranch will be donated back to the tournament. Mention “Canon City High School Fly Fishing” when you reserve.

Day 2 – Saturday, October 10

Competition Day

• 6:15 AM – 7:00 AM Volunteer Setup: Volunteers install beat signage and flags.

• 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM Team Check-In Cañon City Recreation District 575 Ash St, Cañon City, CO 81212

• 7:15 AM Adult Chaperone Scoring Training (required for all adult volunteers). Please download the Fishtech App on your phone before arriving.

• 8:30 AM – 7:45 AM Welcome, Rules Meeting & Conservation Presentation

• 7:45 AM – 8:15 AM Blind Beat Draw

• 8:15 AM – 8:30 AM Travel to Assigned Beats

• 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM Fishing Session 1

• 11:45 AM – 12:30 PMLunch Centennial Park – Rotary Pavilion, Cañon City (Lunch provided by TBA – sponsor name will be announced soon)

• 12:30 PM – 12:45 PM Return to Beats

• 12:45 PM – 3:45 PM Fishing Session 2

• 3:45 PM – 4:15 PM Verify Reported Scores

• Approx 4:30 PM Awards Ceremony & Dinner (Dinner provided by TBA – sponsor name will be announced soon)

• 5:15 PM Pavilion Clean-Up Help us leave Centennial Park better than we found it!
